This is fairly catchy and has nice lyrics, too. I think the main issue I have with it, though, is that the guitar could be louder (and the vocals could be turned down a bit), as it's hard to listen at some points. The singing was overall okay, but, as you pointed out, a bit flat/pitchy in some parts. Still, a nice song.

Ceevro responds:

Hmm...easy adjustments to make. Will re-mix when I get home.

I like this. It's fairly unique, well-mixed and the instruments you picked worked well for it. I guess the only issue I have with it is that it's a bit repetitive, somewhat lacking variety.

lantaren responds:

yeah, repetition is always an issue for me, unfortunately. Anything I do, sometimes, just doesn't work at all for the track -always looking for ways that I can improve there. Anyways, I'm glad you like it.

This wasn't good enough for the NGADM? How weird.

I really enjoyed it. Very exciting and intense, especially because of the drums.

Lich responds:

Who knows when it comes to the NGADM haha. Quite afew people who I thought would get in never did either.

Glad that you like the track, thank you for listening and rating! :)

As others have said, great production. It fits very well with the theme, and has great melodies. I imagine it must have been quite difficult to obtain all these instruments.

I don't think I know if there's any way in which I can criticize it.

SoundChris responds:

Thanks a lot Blacklawn! To get most of the instruments isnt that hard - there is a library by eduardo tarilonte called ERA Medieval Legends which includes 50 or 60 medieval instruments. Its an awesome product right out of the box and for that much content it also is affordable. Glad you liked my little piece here.

All the Best,
Chris

I thoroughly enjoyed this, good job. Despite the length, it didn't feel too repetitive. The synths worked really well, and the drums were probably the best part. I don't really have any complaints.

Wayv responds:

Well thanks!

The beginning felt somewhat random, but the feeling became more interesting around the :50 mark. I thought that the kick was also a bit loud. What kind of feeling were you trying to convey with this song? It has a lot of interesting effects and instruments, but feels mostly unfocused.

itbegins responds:

You might just not be used to the genre. I tried to create a blend of mechanical and organic feeling with the drums and bass being more precise while with the synths I just hit keys. I accidentally had auto quantization on but I thought it sounded good with that.
I recommend you check out Oneohtrix Point Never to get more familiar with avantgarde stuff. It's a whole new world out there.

This is certainly very unique. I can see it working as a forest theme for a game, so I guess you managed to capture the feeling of "autumn" fairly well.

I actually had to hear this 4 times to figure out what kind of criticism I could offer. It's beyond my level of production, and I could definitely learn a few things about mixing from it, hopefully. The only thing I can say is that the pads and strings can be slightly overwhelming in some parts, and not all transitions flow completely smoothly in the beginning. Other than that, it's great.

Jernemies responds:

Thanks
Haha, don't worry, I don't gather my thoughts on the very first listen either, even if I made it seem that way :p Point noted, they indeed don't always go (so to speak) from 1 to 10, instead going more like from 3 by 1 to 10

For all its simplicity, i'd say it's well done. The first half is actually quite different from the rest, but I suppose that goes with the "randomness". It's well produced, but nothing too out of ordinary. A longer version with a bigger buildup and similar instruments would be interesting, probably.

o-Owutt responds:

Check out my other loop.

It's not bad, but I'm not a big fan of the synths in the beginning. The drums could probably be louder, as well. There's a little clipping in some parts, too. It's understandable that the mix isn't perfect, of course, since it's still a work in progress.

EctiBot responds:

Thx for the feedback :). Didn't actually hear any clipping at my end but I'll fix it right away.
The synths in the beginnig are just untouched presets so I haven't really designed the sound properly yet.
Anyway thanks for the feedback. It helps alot :D

This is actually pretty fun. I really liked the crazy bass in the middle, and the other instruments and melodies were also pretty well done. I don't think I have any complaints.

VernCarson responds:

FUN FUN FUN xD

Thanks!
